Lightning Creek Merlot

There is a creek that borders the Kulara Estate vineyard. The creek is lined by old Australian red gum trees. Many years ago, lightning from a rain drenched electrical storm hit one of the trees that were thought to be over 100 years old.

The same tree lay by the creek for many years as a reminder of that fateful stormy evening until one day it was cut up and stockpiled to be used as firewood for outdoor camps, alongside the Lightning Creek bed.

Ideal accompaniment to lamb and grilled red meats. Also, a perfect wine to enjoy with soft cheeses such as Camembert and Brie
